The Christian Songwriter's Workshop

We believe that most of you reading this are mainly looking for simple answers: "What is my next, best step?" "Where am I as a Songwriter?" and "Can you help me with my dream of doing this?"

If you think that professional songwriting is what God has planned for you and you have songs you want to share with the world, we like to begin all songwriters with our consulting services.

We have three levels of consultation.

Level 1: "The Christian Songwriter Development Workshop" in Nashville, TN.

You probably have been looking for some time for the right folks to help you with questions about how to go about becoming a successful songwriter, how to become published, and above all, where you really stand as a songwriter.

We've found the best way to get writers to where they want to be is our one day one-on-one consult here in Nashville. Here's how it works:

Introduction
We meet at our office/studios in Franklin, TN and spend the first hour talking about your musical history and talents, and what you think God is leading you to do. Then we shift to what we've done for artists through songwriting, arranging, CD production, web, and design, and talk about other things we offer artists through our relationships in Nashville and the Christian music industry.

What is Success?
We then enter into a time of talking about your vision of success in all this. Is it getting a publishing deal? Getting your songs recorded? Is it to simply glorify God? We talk about true success in music ministry and we spend some time looking at what other artists, writers, and ministries are doing. We try to find out what has made them successful.

A&R
Next we take a look at the whole process, how we develop artists and how vitally important the right songs can be.

Income Streams
We discuss the different ways writers can support their craft. A very important aspect of being an songwriter for the long term.

Ministry Business
Then we go over how to form a writing ministry or music publishing business, the business angles, and what other things give a music ministry credibility and lasting success.

Songs and Talent
This is where we spend some serious time with your original songs and take a good long look at what you've done as a songwriter. We talk about the importance of strong songs in the music ministry industry. We also talk about co-writing, how working with others can help write better if you are not yet a strong writer, and how you can provide songs for other music ministries and publishers. We also cover copyright, publishing, and other mysteries of the universe!

The Plan for Your Songwriting Career
Finally, we will work on building a specific plan for starting or energizing your music ministry or publishing business. We'll determine what your goals are, what your first steps need to be, and what you need to be working on to improve your craft.

You will go home inspired, maybe tired, but certainly with confidence that you are growing to a new level in your talent and ministry.

Level 2: Phone Consulting. These one hour phone consults are designed to help you get answers to some of your questions, at a substantial savings and without that messy traveling ;). We recommend contacting us, and later sending a CD or MP3s for us to review before we talk.

Level 3: Demo Critique Service. A good first step for writers who really just want to know where they stand with their songs.
